双电极直流电熔镁埋弧电弧炉

DC submerged-arc furnace with twin electrodes for the fused magnesia production

摘要: 介绍了一种新型的双电极扁圆形直流电熔镁埋弧电弧炉·通过实验研究了该种炉型的运行特点,并对炉子的能耗指标及实验样品的质量与交流电熔镁埋弧电弧炉的生产状况进行了对比分析·结果表明:采用双电极直流供电技术,可减少电弧闪烁,噪音小,生产稳定,电能消耗降低,电极消耗降低约50%;扁圆形炉型有利于MgO的结晶,结晶颗粒大,质量分数为98%以上的MgO收得率提高了约15%·

Abstract: A new type DC submerged-arc furnace with twin electrodes and oblate stack is introduced. The running characteristics are examined and the energy index of this furnace as well as the quality of MgO are investigated by comparing with AC submerged arc furnace performance. The results show that the main advantages of this furnace which use DC power and twin electrodes on current line are lower flicker effect, lower noise and steady operation state. The electric energy consumption of the DC furnace decreases and the electrode consumption is reduced by 50%. In addition, the oblate stack of the DC furnace is favorable MgO crystallization and the MgO yield with purity over 98% increase by 15%.
