Abstract: “Family-nation sentiment” is the original, essential, and practical cultural gene and spiritual code of Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, connecting past moral ideals, transforming current social reality, and realizing a better life in the future. The cultural tradition of “family-state integration” in Chinese society, the political consciousness of the Communists to fulfill their original mission, and the latest practice of state governance constitute a logical approach for the development of the concept of family and country feelings in the new era from “confidence” to “self-determination”. From the four dimensions of the moral pursuit of self-cultivation, the social ideal of family harmony and national prosperity, the feeling of governing the country without self, and the vision of the world sharing beauty, the modern transformation and value transcendence of the cultural tradition of “family, country and world” are realized. It is of great significance for enhancing the identity of a socialist country, promoting the modernization of national governance, and building a Chinese discourse system.
