Abstract: A numerical simulation was conducted at 600 A/2 Hz for the M-EMS behavior of a bloom during continuous casting by virtue of the FEA software ANSYS. The comparison showed that the calculated results conform basically with the experimental data. Discusses emphatically the relationship between the magnetic filed induction or node magnetic force at the centre of bloom and the changing current/frequency. The results show both magnetic induction and node magnetic force at the centre of bloom increase with the current also the frequency, of which the maximum value is found at 8 Hz.
