Guide to Authors

  •  ATTENTION:

    1.The duplicate checking of manuscripts must be done by CNKI and WANFANG DATE and the repetition rate must be lower than 10%.

    2.Manuscripts must be submitted through our home page. You must register in our website (through Author Registration) before you contribute for the first time. You will receive a receipt and a serial number for your manuscripts from our editorial board after successful submission

    3.Manuscriptsshould involve title, author, work unit, abstract, and keyword. Your manuscripts should be supported by a clear thesis, a rigorousprocess of argumentation, sufficient arguments, and correct data. Your manuscripts should be smooth and fluent and with proper punctuation. In particular, your manuscripts should be innovative, academic and forward-looking.
    4. Illustrations and the structure formula of the text should be typeset with the text. The annotationshould be arranged below the illustration. The caption of the illustrationshould be written in two languages, English and Chinese. For coordinate graphs, the content should be complete; lines should be uniform and callout lines should be within the graph. For photographic illustration, the original photo with clear image and proper image contrast should be provided. For electron micrograph and metallographic photograph, the magnification should be expressed in 1 cm long scale
    5.Annexed tables should be typeset with the text.The title of the tableshould be written in two languages, English and Chinese. Annexed tables should bethree-wire tablewhenever possible and auxiliary line can be added when necessary. Terms, symbols and units of the annexed tablesshould be consistent with the text.
    6. The abstract should be independent and adopt a third person expression. The research objectives, methods and specific findings, conclusions and important data should be involved in the abstract. The number of words in Chinese abstract should be 200-300 while the English abstract should follow the writing requirements of Ei.

    7.The quantities, units and symbols involved the text should adopt the national legal measurement unit and follow the relevant provisions of the use.

    8. Only the most necessary, the latest references could be listed in the bibliography. There should be no less than 9 references in your manuscript and more than 70% of which should be English references.The unpublished documents should not be quoted in you manuscript.All the references should have a source in the text.In the bibliography,the references should be arranged according to their serial numbers in the text

    9. The case (capital& lowercase) and format (roman&italics) of foreign language letters and symbols must be printed very clear. For letters with superscripts or subscripts, numerical codes and symbols, their positions should be distinguished obviously. For confusing foreign language letters, they should be marked clearly with pencils.

    10.Once the manuscript has been published, the author will receive royalties(the specific amount of royalties will be decided according to the manuscript) andjournal sample. The manuscripts that are not intended to be used will not be returned.Please keep an original copy by yourself. Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently. The author is free to dispose his manuscript in case no notice of adoption is received in 6 months

     11. The author should ensure that the work has a legitimate copyright. This journalwill not bear any joint and several liabilities for copyright disputes caused by the author. Contributing to NEU Journal (Science and Technology) means the rights to use and publication the work, either print or electronic copy, have been transferred to our Journal. Without special declaration, the workwill be treated as agreeing to be quoted by various abstract journals and literature databases. Royalties will be paid in full.
