Popularity-based video stream admission control scheme on VOD

Abstract: Video streams were classified into hot and cold popularity by the popularity of video stream. An admission scheme was presented, based on the popularity. The EPS multicast and unicast schemes were used for hot and cold video. Network bandwidth for hot and cold video stream was forecasted. The different popularity-based control policies have effect on overall system blocking probability.
