Decentralized variable structure control for uncertain interconnected systems

Abstract: The design of a decentralized variable structure controller for interconnected systems was investigated. Based on variable structure-control (VSC) theory and by exploiting the structure of interconnected systems, a concise approach of decentralized VSC was presented. The design of decentralized variable structure controller required the uncertainties of the systems were bounded, but the interconnected item and the uncertain interconnected item was not required to be matched. The designed controllers guaranteeing the closed-loop systems are global asymptotically stable. The design approach is simple.
