Abstract: From the question of whether Stiegler is an accelerationist, it is clear that Stiegler's phenomenology of technology criticizes modern technology in that Stiegler does believe that modern technology, which is increasingly accelerating, will push society forward, but it doesn't mean Stiegler is an accelerationist. On the contrary, Stiegler argues that the quest for a constant acceleration of modern technology is precisely what is wrong with modern technology, and that the crux of the matter is based on the paradoxical reality that “time is accelerating” and “technology is accelerating” and people should no longer be indulged in the walls of technological determinism. In this sense, Stiegler believes in and points to a path of dis-automatization, which suggests that the problem with accelerationism is that it leaves no room for the possibility of accelerating technology.
