Abstract: The phase of Fe-V alloy means of OM and SEM was investigated. The results show that γ+ V4C3, α+V4C3 and α are distributed with dispersion. The outmost CDC layer dimension is 250 nm deep and carburizing dimension becomes coarsening. Carburizing dimension reaches 2.5μm in the α phase. The main reason is that the carburized grown different rate in the γ and γ phases. Austenitic thickness treated by CDC is proportional to the square root of cementite time. The hardness of Fe-V alloy increases evidently after CDC, and the hardened layer becomes thin with the increase of V content.
