Abstract: Three powder materials, SnO, Sb2O3 and GeO2, were prepared by aminolysis, and each of them was used as an active material for the anode of lithium-ion cells. Using a constant-current cell tester to measure their electrochemical properties, the results show that their initial discharge capacities are 1520, 820 and 1040 mA·h/g and initial charge capacities are 800, 520 and 800 mA·h/g for GeO2, Sb2O3 and SnO, respectively, both are high. On the other hand, their irreversible capacities were high by experiments.
