Abstract: Analyzing the change of strip inter-stand running speed, the cooling process if strip between finishing stands is divided into several segments for calculation. Describes the principle of inter-stand micro tracking and shows the way of rational inter-stand micro tracking for the whole strip. A simulation software for the finishing temperature during strip hot rolling was developed and used combining with the in-site technical data provided by a steel mill to calculate simulatively the control of inter-stand temperature. The calculated results are proved superior to those measured in site.
