Evaluation indexes and methodology for competence of knowledge workers

Abstract: Knowledge workers have become the core resources of knowledge enterprises. Based on the competence of knowledge workers and what jobs they are needed to do, an evaluation index system is set up to appraise not only their threshold competence but also the differentiating competence to distinguish one from others. Then, a fuzzy multi-index evaluation is proposed for the competence of all knowledge workers. A numerical example is given to show that it is efficient in evaluating not only the overall competence but also the competence structure of knowledge workers.
