Abstract:

Data technology has not only created the era of digital economy， but also caused people’s dependence on data technology and the placement and regulation of data technology， forming a “data domination” that may disrupt people’s autonomy. The formation of “data domination” is a process of rational self-development and self-alienation， in which the technological rationality of modernity directly leads to this inevitable result. From the rational dimension of modernity， it is the rebellion of dataism against modernity； from the practical dimension of modernity， it is out of control of data power in modern society. Therefore， the essence of “data domination” is the concrete manifestation of the crisis of data modernity. To resolve the “data domination”， the rationality of data technology should be combined with humanism and the system of data power should be regulated so as to make data technology serve the modernization goal of free and all-round development of human beings.
