Embodied Narratives: Key of Hope to Solve the Problem of Other Minds
    HE Guanqi, GUO Lu
    2022, 24 (5):  1-8.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.001
    Abstract ( 309 )   HTML ( 61)   PDF (1089KB) ( 510 )
The existence and operation mechanism of other minds have always been a classic problem in the philosophy of mind, and two main approaches to solve the problem of other minds are embodied simulation theory and embodied direct access theory, which explain the working mechanism of other minds from the perspectives of neuroscience and reasoning through human representational phenomena, respectively. However, both theories have obvious flaws. Embodied simulation theory faces the scientific challenges of mirror neuron modeling and neuron perceptual levels while embodied direct access theory cannot be self-consistent about the defects of “intersubjectivity” generation path theory. The theory that may move forward the study of other minds is the theory of embodied narratives, which is a theory to solve the problem of other minds and proposed by Menary, it is combining Tomasello's “narrative competency” and the embodied theories. The theory of embodied narratives can avoid the scientific barriers on the research path of embodied simulation theory, and also make up for the theoretical defects of the research path of embodied direct access theory.

On the Viewpoint of Robots with Human Mind by Confucian “Subject-activity” and Buddhist “Noumenon-function” Theory of Mind
    ZHANG Jing
    2022, 24 (5):  9-15.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.002
    Abstract ( 149 )   HTML ( 19)   PDF (1060KB) ( 144 )
Chinese traditional Confucian “subject-activity” and Buddhist “noumenon-function” theory of mind are used to investigate the two premise reasons of the viewpoint of robots with human mind, which are non-subjectivity and functionalism of mind. It is found that mental activities are of subjectivity, and neither mental functions nor organs can equate to the noumenon-function integrated human mind. Thus the two reasons together with its logic are found defective and the view loses its support. Finally, implications are provided: Firstly, to turn inwards. Secondly, to “control things” with human mind. Artificial intelligence is unintentional but worthy of use, and its pros and cons depend on who use it. Thirdly, to attach more importance to the study of machine-style “thinking”. In short, human beings need to enhance their subjectivity and self-wisdom to develop the “advanced instrumental rationality”. The development of artificial intelligence is not only an issue of technological innovation, but also a chance to cultivate beneficial resources from the traditional philosophy of mind.

Spatial Spillover Effect of Positive Feedback Trading in Stock Index Futures Markets
TIAN Shuxi, YAN Xue, ZHANG Bo
    2022, 24 (5):  16-22.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.003
    Abstract ( 162 )   HTML ( 20)   PDF (1200KB) ( 257 )
Using the extended positive feedback trading model, a joint test is made on the positive feedback trading in the stock index futures markets of 12 countries. The results show that there is a significant spatial spillover effect of positive feedback trading in the stock index futures markets. Further econometric test in the window period of the Covid-19 pandemic shows that the quantitative easing policies implemented in those countries have curbed the crash of stock markets, but also intensified the spatial spillover effect of positive feedback trading in the stock index futures markets through interest rate channel and inflation channel. Therefore, we should be alert to the risk of market bubble induced by the “overcorrection” of anti-pandemic measures during the Covid-19 period.

Life Expectancy and Savings Rate: Based on the Ramsey Model of Limited Life
    LIU Pengfei
    2022, 24 (5):  22-30.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.004
    Abstract ( 183 )   HTML ( 17)   PDF (1123KB) ( 459 )
Based on mathematical deduction, it is found that there is a reciprocal relationship between life expectancy and mortality. By adopting the Ramsey model of limited life, it is deduced that there is a positive correlation between life expectancy and savings rate. In order to verify this conclusion, a panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2000 to 2017 were used for benchmark estimation. After using the dynamic panel instrumental variable method to overcome the endogenous problem, and adopting such robustness tests as gradually increasing the number of control variables and replacing the explained variables, the results still support the conclusion of the theoretical analysis. The policy implication of this conclusion is: appropriately extend the retirement years of the elderly, establish a sound pension security system, and reduce the elderly's preventive savings motivation to stimulate consumption.

Research on the Configuration of the Implementation Intention of Mobile Shopping Behaviors Based on fsQCA
WANG Lin, WANG Zhihua, ZHAO Yang
    2022, 24 (5):  31-39.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.005
    Abstract ( 162 )   HTML ( 16)   PDF (1129KB) ( 801 )
Triggering shopping desire with scenes has become an important means of merchants' marketing. However, there are few studies on the association mechanism between cognitive-emotional interaction responses and implementation intentions in different scenarios. A total of 390 valid samples were obtained through questionnaire surveys, using the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis method (fsQCA), Based on the SOR model, from the perspective of multiple concurrent causality, the impact mechanism of the seven conditions of visual perception cues, quality safety cues and time cues, and the interaction configuration effects of perceived pleasure and perceived trust on implementation intentions was explored. It was found that: A single antecedent condition is not a necessary condition for the high/non-high implementation intentions of mobile shopping behaviors; The driving mechanism to realize the high implementation intentions of mobile shopping behaviors includes an overall solution, divided into 4 paths, revealing that the perception of high privacy protection is the core condition leading to the high implementation intentions of mobile shopping behaviors; The driving mechanism of non-high implementation intentions of mobile shopping behaviors has six paths, and there is a causal asymmetric relationship with the driving mechanism of high implementation intentions. The research conclusions enrich and develop the relevant theories of contextual clues, and provide specific suggestions and measures for e-commerce companies' precise marketing and user experience improvement.

    SUN Ping, CHEN Shiyi
    2022, 24 (5):  40-48.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.006
    Abstract ( 168 )   HTML ( 15)   PDF (1132KB) ( 173 )
As a continuously promoting long-term national strategy, the reform of “streamlining administration, delegating powers, and improving government services” has fully aroused the enthusiasm of both central and local governments and realized the combination of top-level design and local initiatives, which has continuously released the reform dividends. As a new perspective of “streamlining administration, delegating powers, and improving government services” reform, efficacy evaluation effectively responds to the modernization process of the national governance system and governance capacity as well as the traditional evaluation perspectives, thus meeting the needs of practice and theory. The efficacy evaluation of the reform is based on the internal potentials and focused on the “three effects”. It emphasizes the dynamic connection between internal potentials and external effects. Based on a comparison of the results of the overall function and the sum of partial functions, the comprehensive monitoring of the reform process is completed, which can open up a new perspective on the evaluation of government reforms, relieve the vague perception of the nature of efficacy, and provide important theoretical guidance and practical follow-up for the continuous promotion of the reform.

An Analysis of the Institutional Attribute and Institutional Form of the Organizational Punishment by the Communist Party of China
    WANG Lifeng, LI Hongchuan
    2022, 24 (5):  49-56.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.007
    Abstract ( 171 )   HTML ( 16)   PDF (1072KB) ( 170 )
Organizational punishment is an important measure used by party organizations to educate and manage leading cadres. It has something in common with disciplinary punishment within the party, accountability and government sanction, but also has significant differences in punishment objects, basis and methods. Organizational punishment is not only a mechanism of responsibility investigation, but also an important means to implement the organizational principle of placing cadres under party supervision. At the same time, it is also a kind of procedural activity with more flexible punishment methods. Although organizational punishment has been deeply embedded in the inner-party laws and regulations and the national legal system texts, there are still some problems such as the conflict of the provisions on organizational treatment in some institutions, the disciplinary action within the party and organizational punishment replacing each other, and the unclear responsibilities of organizational departments in organizational punishment. In view of this, in order to revise and improve the regulations on organizational punishment, the basis on organizational punishment from the party constitution should be more solid, the matching relationship between different punishments should be paid attention to, the boundaries of functions and powers between discipline inspection and supervision organs and organizational departments should be clarified, and the time limit in organizational punishment should be specified.

How Can Bureaucratic Organizations Respond to Complex Social Needs? Organizational Form Innovation in Co-construction, Co-governance and Sharing of G Province
    SONG Kaiye
    2022, 24 (5):  57-66.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.008
    Abstract ( 131 )   HTML ( 13)   PDF (1151KB) ( 297 )
In the context of the modernization and transformation of national governance, how governmental bureaucratic organizations respond to increasingly diverse and complex social needs has become an important topic related to national governance. As an important reform and innovation in response to complex social demands, “co-construction, co-governance and sharing” reflects the innovative logic of the current governmental bureaucracy oriented towards “society”, and helps to analyze the institutional support, constraints and internal mechanism that bureaucratic organizations may face when responding to complex social demands. It is found that, relying on the long-term historical model, the “integrated” bureaucratic organizations respond to the complex social needs effectively through the innovation of operation modes, but in practice the multiple substitution logic restricts the effectiveness of modern governance tasks. In order to match the social environment of the same period, the bureaucratic organizations develop a new organizational mechanism in the process of governance, namely, “interstitial organization”. As a unique new organizational form of bureaucratic organizations and social interaction, it is characterized by “discontinuous structure”, “autonomous division of labor” and “local operation”. It changes the typical characteristics of bureaucratic organizations, thus alleviating the vulnerability to the environment and playing an important role in the transformation of national governance.

Research on the Influencing Factors of Local Governments' Innovation Sustainability: Based on the Qualitative Comparative Analysis of Local Governments' Innovation Awards
    LIN Jingjing, MAO Yajing
    2022, 24 (5):  67-75.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.009
    Abstract ( 147 )   HTML ( 14)   PDF (1113KB) ( 503 )
For local governments, what are the factors that affect local governments' innovation sustainability? What is the relationship among these factors? In response to the above questions, the qualitative comparative analysis method was adopted by selecting seven explanatory variables from three levels of subject, resource and utility to analyze the influencing factors of local governments' innovation sustainability in China. It was found that media attention is a necessary condition for local governments' innovation sustainability; higher-level government (leadership) support, academic attention, institutionalization of innovation achievements, and innovation on non-specific issues are sufficient conditions to ensure local governments' innovation sustainability. There are six combinations of sufficient conditions for sustainability, which can be classified into three modes of interpretation, namely, resource support mode, institutional support mode, and innovation diffusion mode. The research results have implications for improving local governments' innovation ability and increasing their innovation vitality and sustainability.

Why Is the Response Speed of Local Governments to Waste Classification Policies Different? Based on the Qualitative Comparative Analysis of 46 Pilot Cities
    GAO Denghui, SUN Feng
    2022, 24 (5):  76-85.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.010
    Abstract ( 159 )   HTML ( 15)   PDF (1207KB) ( 628 )
Rapid response to the central government's decision-making is the primary link of local governments' policy implementation. In the new era, eco-environmental governance is becoming more and more important. In the face of the waste classification policy issued by the central government, why do local governments have different policy response speeds? A qualitative comparative analysis of 46 pilot cities of waste classification is made with the help of QCA software. There are two necessary conditions for policy response: one is to establish an official organization and set up an assessment mechanism at the organizational level, and the other is to promote policy alternatives, policy piloting and authority promotion at the behavioral level. In addition, ensuring adequate capital supply at the resource level is its sufficient condition. The rapid policy response of local governments' waste classification results from the coupling of organizations, actions and resource elements. In the future, China's local governments' waste classification policy response should move towards cross-sectoral cooperation. This model is based on the initial conditions such as environment, experience and consensus, with efficient and smooth action design as the key. At the same time, it needs adaptive management and evaluation accountability as the guarantee, aiming to realize the rapid response and effective implementation of the policy.

Do Talent Introduction Policies Induce Gender Inequality? Based on an Empirical Study of 12 “New First-tier Cities” in China
    LIU Yang
    2022, 24 (5):  86-95.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.011
    Abstract ( 165 )   HTML ( 11)   PDF (1201KB) ( 346 )
Talent introduction policies serve as important initiatives to attract talents to settle in many cities in recent years. Based on the data of 12 “new first-tier cities” in China from 2012 to 2018, the multi-period difference-in-difference method is adopted to identify the actual effects and gender heterogeneity of the policies for attracting talents. It is concluded that the implementation of talent introduction policies has a significant policy effect, which is stronger for females in terms of direct effect, significance level and explanatory power. In addition, GDP has a positive moderating effect on the implementation of talent policies, which is stronger for females than males. Instead of inducing gender inequality, talent introduction policies may reverse the original gender inequality on talent mobility to some extent.

Legal Allocation of Standard Terms of E-commerce Contracts: Problems, Approaches and Methods
    WU Shuang
    2022, 24 (5):  96-104.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.012
    Abstract ( 176 )   HTML ( 16)   PDF (1071KB) ( 436 )
The Civil Code of China does not give sufficient response to the standard terms of e-commerce contracts, and The E-commerce Law is supposed to provide sufficient legal supply in the future. The homogenization trend of e-commerce standard terms, the aggravation of information asymmetry in the network environment, the lawlessness of commercial innovation and the abuse of e-commerce on users' psychology have brought new challenges to the regulation mode of traditional standard terms. To adjust the standard terms of e-commerce in the civil law, the general legal spirit of the “principle of fairness” should be grasped, the status of both parties to the transaction should be balanced, and the fairness of the contracting process and result should be realized by setting in control and content control. The E-commerce Law should establish the e-commerce rating system based on the “principle of proportion”, add the exclusion rules of abnormal terms, refine the performance methods of e-commerce contract description and prompt the obligations in the network environment, and set up a negative list to realize the legal allocation of e-commerce standard terms.

Study on Corporate Sustainability and ESG Disclosure Construction
    LIU Jiangwei
    2022, 24 (5):  104-111.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.013
    Abstract ( 204 )   HTML ( 16)   PDF (1090KB) ( 796 )
As a sustainable entity, sustainability is a particularly important goal of a corporation. Enviromental, social and governance (ESG) information is relevant to corporate sustainability, and ESG disclosure plays an important functional role in improving and promoting corporate sustainability. Due to the shortcomings of ESG disclosure regulations in China, ESG disclosure in practice is not satisfactory, and there are such problems as insufficient disclosure rate, reliability and comparability. In order to perform the function of ESG disclosure and promote corporate sustainability, ESG information of listed companies should be included in mandatory disclosure, adopt the “comply or explain” enforcement, and improve the reliability and comparability of ESG disclosure by using internal control, third-party audit and exchange inquiry letters. Meanwhile, non-listed companies should be encouraged to disclose ESG information voluntarily.

Is the Proposition of “Metaphysics” Valid for Marx? Rethinking Heidegger's Judgment on Marx
    HAN Taoze
    2022, 24 (5):  112-119.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.014
    Abstract ( 161 )   HTML ( 20)   PDF (1072KB) ( 254 )
“Metaphysics” is Heidegger's fundamental judgment on Marx's philosophy. Based on Marx's partial texts, Heidegger regarded Marx's philosophy as “metaphysics” mainly from the aspects of humanism, Hegelianism and Ge-stell, which made Marx's practical transcendence of metaphysics become obscure. In fact, Marx's practice turn fulfilled the transcendence of the theoretical metaphysics including Hegel's philosophy, the species philosophy completed the sublation of the subjective metaphysics since the modern times, and the communist production completed the taming of the metaphysics of modern technology. Therefore, the proposition of “metaphysics” is not fully effective for Marx, and Heidegger's diagnosis and transcendence of metaphysics still deserves to be questioned and reflected upon.

A Bitter Epic and Ethical Allegory of the “Son of Land” in Northeast China: A Review of Jin Ziwei's Novel The Land in October
    HU Zhe
    2022, 24 (5):  129-136.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.016
    Abstract ( 275 )   HTML ( 17)   PDF (1078KB) ( 512 )
The Land in October tells about a bitter epic and ethical allegory of individual and national memory in Northeast China implied in the “stories” of land and survival, family conflicts and national struggles. The “Son of Land” is supposedly an expression created by the authors of the May Fourth new literature, inheriting the spiritual blood of modern Chinese intellectuals writing the “land”. The emotional sustenance of farmers in The Land in October in expressing the love of the land stems from the root of the historical and cultural soil in Northeast China with the “Son of Land” as the ethical core. The story not only reproduces the bitter epic inscribed by the spiritual motif of the tough life, love and national righteousness in the mountains and waters but also demonstrates the rational examination beyond the “land” to compose an ethical allegory in the narration of the different views of the “land” of the three generations wandering in Hancong River, Lotus Bubble and Toad Pond.

On the Development and Evolution of Western Science Play
    WU Jing
    2022, 24 (5):  137-143.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.017
    Abstract ( 238 )   HTML ( 15)   PDF (1070KB) ( 404 )
Science play, which has become a key sub-genre of western drama, has a history of four hundred years, within which it has undergone three critical periods of development and evolution that coincide with the three prominent periods in the history of science, and has eventually establisbed itself as a mature drama genre in this process. Science play came into being under the influence of the first scientific revolution, which also facilitated its own first flourishment. The shift of scientific paradigms was the primary concern of science play in this period. The second creative upsurge was brought about by the shock of nuclear physics, and during this period, science play began to engage in an in-depth discussion of concrete scientific issues, which had laid the foundation for the third tide of development of this genre. The third creative peak of science play, which eventually established its key role in western drama, was marked by a confluence of the “two cultures” and a thorough engagement in discussing the various disciplines of modern science.

Kenzaburo Oe's Practice of “New Form” Novels: “Late Style” in The Beautiful Annabel Lee
    SHI Yuxuan
    2022, 24 (5):  144-150.  DOI: 10.15936/j.cnki.1008-3758.2022.05.018
    Abstract ( 114 )   HTML ( 17)   PDF (1060KB) ( 152 )
The Beautiful Annabel Lee is an important work by Kenzaburo Oe for exploring the “late style” through the practice of “new form” novels. This “new form” is composed of such elements as the reduction method, the turn to female narratives, and the chain of meta-level structures. Based on Oe's rewriting and deconstruction of his own literature in the past, the “new form” constructs a permanent process and movement of “Kenzaburo Oe's literature”, which refuses to mature and finish. The “late style” emerging in the “new form” is not only a farewell to the past Oe's literature but also a call to the new Oe's literature.
