稀土氧化物对结晶器保护渣理化性质的影响

Effect of RE oxides on the physicochemical properties of mold flux for continuous casting

摘要: 针对在结晶器喂稀土过程中,稀土的氧化产物进入保护渣熔融层,影响和限制了保护渣冶金性能发挥的主要问题,系统测定了稀土氧化物对结晶器保护渣熔化温度、黏度和结晶温度的影响.结果表明,随稀土氧化物含量增加,保护渣熔化温度、黏度和结晶温度显著升高.保护渣中添加少量B2O3和Li2O作为新的助熔剂使用,可以显著削弱稀土氧化物对保护渣理化性能的影响.进而可以为开发成分和性能更为合理的新型稀土钢结晶器保护渣提供理论依据.

Abstract: In the process of feeding RE wires in a mold, an amount of RE oxides enter into the molten slag, thus affecting and restricting the mold flux to serve metallurgical functions. Effect of RE oxides on the melting temperature, viscosity and crystallization temperature of mold flux was measured systemically. It was found that the melting temperature, viscosity and crystallization temperature of mold flux increase remarkably with increasing RE oxides as addition. If adding B2O3 and Li2O as new fluxes to the mold flux, the effect of RE oxides on the physicochemical properties of mold flux may be weakened remarkably. A theoretical basis is therefore available to develop further a new type of mold flux for RE steel, of which both the composition and physicochemical properties will be more reasonable.
