高管团队特征与企业的国家标准参与度

摘要：

标准竞争是企业维持竞争优势的重要手段。基于高阶理论和资源基础理论，以2009—2023年上市工业企业数据为研究样本，采用回归分析探讨了高管团队特征对国家标准参与度的影响。结果表明：高管团队教育水平对国家标准参与度无显著影响，任期、市场经历和学术经历均存在显著正向影响；行业技术水平强化了任期的促进作用；行业竞争性弱化了市场经历的促进作用且强化了学术经历的促进作用；相比于高校任教和科研机构任职经历，学术高管的协会从事研究经历更能提高国家标准参与度；任期能够强化市场高管的长期导向且行业技术水平会增强这一效应。研究结论对企业制定标准竞争战略具有参考价值。

Abstract:

Standards-focused competition constitutes a crucial avenue through which firms sustain their competitive advantage. Drawing on the upper-echelons theory and the resource-based view， and using the panel data of the Chinese listed industrial firms from 2009 to 2023， the regression analysis is employed to examine how top-management-team （TMT） characteristics affect firms’ participation in national standards. The results indicate that the educational level of TMT shows no significant effect on participation in national standards， whereas tenure， market experience， and academic experience all exert significant positive effect. Industries’ technological level strengthens the positive effect of tenure， and industrial competition attenuates the impact of market experience while strengthening that of academic experience. Compared with prior university teaching or research-institute positions， academic executives’ experience gained in professional associations more effectively boosts their participation in national standards. Moreover， tenure reinforces the long-term orientation of market-experienced executives， and this effect is further intensified by industries’ technological level. These findings may provide useful references for firms to formulate standards-focused competition strategies.
