Abstract: The new development concept is a systematic theoretical system， which is an important guide to promote the high-quality development of colleges and universities. Implementing the new development concept completely， accurately and comprehensively is an era proposition given to colleges and universities by the Party and the state. Engineering colleges and universities should further clarify the relationship between the new development concept and their own development， and strive to promote the in-depth fit， close integration and orderly integration between the new development concept and the development of colleges and universities. To serve the construction of a new development pattern and promote the high-quality development of the cause， engineering colleges and universities should highlight their role as the innovation highland， strengthen the function of coordination links， create a green development model， implement the open development strategy， create an atmosphere of co-construction and sharing， fully integrate the new development concept into the whole process of university construction and development， and implement it in an integrated practice and a three-dimensional advancement.
