Abstract: When consumption, as an ideology, replaces the dominance of production in the consumer society, two dimensions-implied meaning chain and temptation mechanism, symbolic consumption and manufacturing segmentation-are applied to continuously create consumption and achieve the purpose of capital proliferation so as to ensure the legitimacy and appropriateness of consumption or consumption behavior. The examination on physical consumption in this social form mainly takes the form of labor commodities, daily aesthetics, and freedom of consumption. The message of the various manifestations of physical consumption is that the physical body is rediscovered and shaped in the consumer society, which should possess the most revolutionary possibility. However, under the manipulation of consumerist ideology, the myth of body liberation is replaced by the consumption myth-a narcissistic consumption liberation, which has successfully belied the true liberation of human beings.
