A Method of Blood Pressure Estimation Based on Cellphone Camera

Abstract: A method of blood pressure estimation is proposed based on pulse waves collected by the cellphone cameras, referred to as multiparameter estimation of systolic blood pressure based on pulse waves (MBPP). Through the exercise test, some different timing pulse wave data and blood pressure data are obtained. Then, the pulse wave data are denoised and the acceleration pulse waves are calculated, to get the pulse wave transit time. And then, the characteristics of the pulse wave are calculated to get the heart rate. At last, the pulse wave transit time, heart rate and blood pressure can be selected to generate the linear fitting formula. Experimental results show that the MBPP proposed is a high accuracy method, and can be used to measure blood pressure.
